Parent’s Day Celebration 11 June 2017

In conjunction with Mother and father’s day, Setapak CDC have our annual parent’s day celebration cum luncheon at Hakka Rang Restaurant, Kota Damansara on 11th June 2017. 

The special Sunday service started with warm welcome and singspiration whereby everyone sang together songs of praise to glorify our Father in heaven. 

Pastor Kwan Loong shared with the congregation in his message that there is a purpose of why God want his children to experience all kinds of relationship (parents and child; husband and wife, friendship etc.) on earth. It is to prepare us so that when we go back to heaven to meet our Heavenly Father, we will know how to relate to Him. 

If our earthly parents are willing to sacrifice so much for us, how much more will our Heavenly Father do for His children. Pastor ended his message reminding us to be always mindful that our time on earth is short, so let’s ensure our relationships are sweet and memorable while it last. 

After the message, the sisters and brothers presented the 2 songs for the parents – Josh Gorban’s “You raise me up” and Beyond’s “真的爱你”.

These songs were dedicated to the parents, to give thanks to them for always being there for us, no matter what happens. 

Like the song lyrics from “真的爱你”:

The service ended with lunch whereby everyone gathered around tables to enjoy the wonderful Hakka dishes provided by the restaurant. At the end of our lunch, cupcakes were given out as a small token of love from SetapakCDC.
