Welcome a new member to our family

Luke 15: 10 “In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.”

The members of Setapakcdc family rejoiced when sister Sin Leng committed her life to God and joined the body of Christ on last Saturday 18th of December.

Welcome Sin Leng to the family!

A few of us from Setapak CDC travelled all the way from Kuala Lumpur to Kemaman for the baptism despite it has been raining cats and dogs for days. The east coast was wet and gloomy but it didn’t stopped the work of God. We arrived safely in this small coastal town and we were able to witness the baptism of Sister Sin Leng and welcome her into God’s family.

Baptism symbolises new life in Christ and death to old self

We were deeply touched by her sincerity and determination when she made her vow to God that she will follow God the rest of her life. It was indeed a reminder to all of the witnesses that we’ve made the same vow in the past and we should never forget our first love and forsake the promise we’ve made before God.

Sometimes the best travelling are left unplanned

The baptism was planned, but our extended stay wasn’t. The impact of the nonstop raining was proven to be much more detrimental than what we’ve expected whereby many parts of east coast highways were submerged in water and hence was closed to traffic. We have to stay in Kemaman for another one day but it didn’t hampered our mood to enjoy our time together. We had such a great time of fellowship together and we were spoiled by delicious Kemaman seafood generously treated by Uncle Chong, Sister Sin Leng and her husband.

We also had a great time walking leisurely on the beach while enjoying God’s wonderful creation. These moments are truly precious as we rarely had the chance to fellowship and travel together since the Covid-19 pandemic started last year.

Cherating beach is beautiful and truly a heaven for the surfers!

In this short trip, we have witnessed Yahweh God’s wonderful works on our sister in Christ, we also experienced Yahweh’s leading and protection throughout the journey. What a wonderful God He is!
